I am back in the land of biltong, Bantus, Boers and Boks. I’ve been back in SA for about a week now and it has been a blessed time. Our Father continues to carry us in His loving arms every day. It’s so good to be reunited with Sanchia and our boy is due in just a few weeks now, three to be exact. It’s happening! Stoked!
Home is where the heart is.

It’s been some time since I’ve updated the blog as it was a bit challenging when moving around Tamil Nadu. I thought I’d share a little about it, the things I have learned and what is happening now so here goes;

 When I think back on our time of service on outreach the thing that keeps coming to the forefront of my mind is the way in which God displayed His love. A few weeks before we began our outreach, we had a teaching on Spiritual warfare. During this week we had a day when the Holy Spirit moved powerfully, it was a time of deliverance and God’s love and power was indescribable. Bearing this in mind when we went out for ministry I was so sure and faithful that God’s power would continually break down strongholds, fall upon the multitudes basically I was expecting miracles at every turn. However after about a week of ministry with my “fervent intercession” and “bold commands” in the name of Jesus not much was happening hahaha. I laugh now at the thought of it but at the time I was freaking out. The Holy Spirit was silent. Finally when I realised Our Father was not speaking much I went to Him for some answers. This is when He showed me in His familiar, patient, compassionate, loving, merciful way, that I was so caught up in His power and His light driving back the darkness that I was missing His children! I was so busy chasing the darkness I was not loving the people! Thank God for His grace which is new every day because I really can lose the plot at times hahaha. As my focus shifted from His power to His love, loving His people, His Holy Spirit responded and I began to see Him move in new ways.  Children filled with the Holy Spirit (words truly cannot explain how incredible it was to see young children crying out to their Heavenly Father), healing, His continual provision and too many other incidents to list. Man He is good.
Just beautiful

I’m just blown away by His plan. The way He wants us to love Him and each other, in humility and selflessness, His unchanging intention for us all to be His hands and feet in this world, the desire He has for the entire body of Christ to unite (Which in itself will require His love, patience, humility and selflessness, as we look past doctrinal differences, personal issues, the desire for power and human acclaim) and take His Kingdom into every tribe and tongue, but I’ll share a little more about this another time.

Right now Sanch and I are enjoying being together again, eagerly awaiting our boy’s arrival and discovering our Lord’s hidden treasures in East London. We’re now hanging out with brothers and sisters at Stirling Presbyterian Church and it’s so cool to find a church that has its primary focus in line with His, the nations!

May the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, His peace that surpasses all understanding be with You.
