The count down begins...

Stotram/Moloweni

I pray everyone is well and not as fat and flourishing as I am. (lol) I am in high spirits, over the last two weeks I have witnessed The Lord's unfailing love for me and my family, His provision and protection and Jared returns to South Africa in 6 days (I get to see him in 10 days).

The night of the Love Feast (last night Jared and I were together in India)

Where should I start?  Towards the end of May Jared felt led to giving away the last of his money to someone in India.  So I suggested that I would ask my parents to lend some money to us (R300 or so), just incase Jared had an emergency or something.  When I went into the bank account to see if the R350 had been transferred I saw that the day before I had spoken to my parents regarding the loan, The Lord had led someone to anonymously transfer R1500 into our bank account.  I was blown away! If I had just trusted in The Lord and remembered to go to Him first, I would have never needed to go into debt with my parents.  This simple provision has taught me so much.  The Lord is starting to show me that He should always be my plan A, plan B and plan C.  If I rely on Him completely how much more powerful will my testimony be?  As we all know the testimonies that The Lord gives us is used as a weapon against the enemy, satan hates it when we have a powerful testimony, he cringes and runs.  Praise The Lord for reminding and teaching me to always rely on Him.  And to the person that The Lord blessed us through - thank you for being obedient and hearing His heart, not only were you a part of providing for us in a time of need, but you were more importantly involved in the teaching and growing of a fellow disciple.

Im not too sure how many of you know that Jared wears glasses/contact lenses.  He is actually quite blind (love you babe) haha, anyway, during the last two weeks of his outreach Jared opened his last new pair of contact lenses which would carry him over until he arrived home.  However, the contact lense thought otherwise and decided to break (very unusual apparently for a new lense).  So Jared had to go into the city (about an hour or two's drive) to try source some new contact lenses.  Much to his surprise he came across an award-winning eye hospital in Coimbatore.  Whilst he was there the doctors started speaking to him about laser surgery as an option.  (It would cost R5000 as apposed to R30 000 or so, here in SA).  We prayed about it and felt that the above incidence was no coincidence.  Anyway, the doctors did some tests and said that there was a possibility that there wouldn't be a 100% correction, as Jared's eyes were very weak!  If this did happen then he would probably need reading strength glasses as opposed to his coke bottle thick glasses, therefore much improvement!  Our sending cell and family stood with us in prayer as Jared went under the laser, praying for The Lord to be the surgeons hands and for the outcome to be complete healing....Praise The Lord He answered our prayers once again!  Jared is now able to read The Bible without any glasses whatsoever (he never use to be able to read anything, except perhaps billboards without his glasses on!) Thank you heavenly Father for Your abundant provision!

If I could try to explain The Lord's provision and love in a simple picture

Jared officially finished ministry on Tuesday.  The outreach team travelled to a place called Ooty which is in the mountains, where the weather is a lot cooler, for a 2 day and 1 night restore and relaxation time period.  Jared mentioned how nice it is being in the cold weather (he said the weather is the same as an East London cold front).  He was blessed by one the of students with 2 tracksuit tops which he is very thankful for!  Tonight they all travel on the train back to Chennai, arriving tomorrow morning.  And then on Wednesday is Graduation and Thursday he flies to Johannesburg.  :-)  On Tuesday (19 June) he will be driving down with my dad from Johannesburg to East London, and we will finally be re-united!!! I CANNOT WAIT!!!!

The Lord has provided for us a lovely beach house through a friend of my parents, where we will be staying for the rest of that week.  We are so looking forward to this, as we haven't had time to ourselves since the beginning of Decemeber 2011!!!  My parents have said that we can stay with them in their house for however long we need to, which we are truly grateful for.  I just want to give all the Glory to God for touching so many peoples lives and leading them to helping us wherever they can.  Thank you to those people that have contributed to our journey with The Lord so far, whether it be by prayer, finances and/or love and support, we truly appreciate you and are blessed to be a part of a united Body.

I think the next blog update will be from Jared, giving the final feedback on how his outreach went, so it will be very juicy with lots of pictures.

I pray everyone will have an amazing week, feeling even closer to God than before, recognising His abundant provision in your everyday lives.
Peace and Blessings

'Hiccups' - the stray dog that I 'adopted'/fed whilst in India
He has something wrong neurologically as his head would constantly
bob up and down, hence the name hiccups.  The animals learn to fend for themselves!
