Taking The Light into the darkness...

Well the last few weeks have been an incredible blessing to us all.  Our outreach team has been under some serious attack, and we praise The Lord for His abundant provision of authority that He gives us all as co-heirs to His Kingdom.  Aja (one of the students) has developed pneumonia after contracting a virus - he has now been discharged and is slowly on the mend.  The rest of us have all been restored to good health, including Joy (another student) whom The Lord healed miraculously.  She was diagnosed with kidney stones of which the doctor said she would have to have them surgically removed, however the most recent scan has now revealed that the stones are gone, praise The Lord!  As we have been pouring out our Father's blessings we all feel Him continually replenishing, renewing, teaching and blessing us.  Here is a short summary of what we have been busy with:

Jared, Solomon, Aja and Sam (our leader)

From the 30th April to the 5th May we were back in Chennai serving at NLAG church as they held the Sky VBS (Vacational Bible School).  The team helped out wherever there was a need, whether it be catering, teaching toddlers or older children.  The children learnt so much as they participated in arts and crafts, dramas, games, learnt about the importance of missions and sang songs of worship.  The highlight of the week was definitely during a time of annointing while the children were touched by The Holy Spirit.  Hundreds of children cried out to The Lord, weeping, falling to their knees, speaking in tongues, all worshiping in different ways as The Holy Spirit led them.  It was a truly special time and we all feel so blessed to have been a part of it.

On the 6th May we left for Salem.  Here we have been ministering among the leprosy colonies in the surrounding area.  We have been privileged to serve alongside the families who stay here permanently, reaching out to the victims and their families.  There has been a variety of ministries here, namely open airs (many come forward for various prayers), house visits and we have been a part of the mercy ministry.  The mercy ministry includes packing medical supplies and helping dress the open wounds of the leprosy victims.  It really has been a blessing to see the men and women here serving the people so selflessly.

We have conducted the Sunday services held here at the mercy ministries compound.  Worship, testimonies and messages are handled by all the team members.  Our Father blessed us in a huge way as we were asked to run a short VBS for the children of the community.  Each day we gave a teaching on God's trustworthiness, taught a memory verse, shared a missions story, worshiped God and played games.  On the last day during worship (despite the fact that the children only understand their Tamil language and we sang worship in English that day) The Holy Spirit poured out upon the children so suddenly and unexpectedly.  Our Father's presence was tangible as the children worshiped Him praying out loud while His annointing settled on them.  It was just one of those awe inspiring moments, all glory to God!  After the missions story later that day, 13 of the children dedicated their lives to The Lord.  Let us all pray that our Father grows and nurtures the seed He has planted over the past few weeks and that it may grow and bear fruit and seed of the same kind.  God is so good.

Thank you all so much for your prayers.  Please join us in prayer for Aja's health and for provision for the medical expenses which are accumulating daily.  Please pray for our next ministry in Comimbatore (we arrive there on 22 May), also for God's protection and guidance.  We look forward to the new things our Father is doing.  May His peace be with you all.
